Kentucky has more grazing graduates!
The second 2010 Kentucky Grazing School wrapped up August 10 with 41 more graduates. Participants learned about summer forage options, calculating forage availability and stocking rates, and many aspects related to grazing management.
Participants also had the opportunity to hear testimonials from Kentucky producers about their experiences with implementing new grazing strategies. Producer topics included managing forages in rotation, extending the grazing season, co-species grazing, and high-density grazing. Much appreciation goes out to Tom Greathouse, Buddy Smith, and Will Bowling for taking part in this producer panel.
